Holly Gittlein, Artist - WASILLA

Sparks of creativity fly in her studio!

A place of contemplation and meditation lends itself to Gittlein's creativity.

A place of contemplation and meditation lends itself to Gittlein's creativity.

She has an undergraduate in biology, graduate diploma in marine science,  but Holly Gittlein has found another path with art.  One of those few artists who are able to make a living with their creativity, Holly sees the world in a natural, reciprocal way, giving the rest of her effort to service organizations, like the Rotary Pacific Water For Life Foundation - having travelled the world extensively.

Professionally working as an artist since 2002, Holly left her science career for the arts, bringing with her a world of real experience that surely gives her work perspective.

Holly does a lot of commission work, along with public art pieces that are displayed in the Palmer State Office Building, Elmendorf Military Base, Valley Pathways, and a lot of other facilities.  Her commission work can be seen in many local professional offices as well.

Making a living making art is a rare thing indeed, and Gittlein is cognizant of that.  Although, how exactly she's been able to do so remains a bit of mystery - even to her.

Gittlein is gifted, being given to and giving back through art.

After 15 years, Pat finally became an overnight sensation!

Pat Garley fired up his business in 2006, and has since produced many large scale art pieces across the state, including 'Trailblazers' - a life size miner and his dog, headed up the Iditarod Trail - which is installed in front of the Sea Life center in Seward.

Located in Palmer Alaska, Pat's studio is always active with the sights and sounds associated with metal work.  Doing commission art installations is only one part of Pat's art business.  He also casts and produces art for other artists, along with custom pieces for business and home decor.
